Die 13-jährige Milly staunt nicht schlecht, als plötzlich Jupiter, ein riesiger Hannoveraner Wallach, vor ihrem Haus steht. Und das Lustige daran ist, das Pferd gehört jetzt tatsächlich ihr! Geerbt von der verstorbenen Cousine ihrer Mutter.
Echt cool, findet Millys Freundin Anouk, doch für Milly ist das gar nicht so toll. Sie hat doch schon alle Hände voll zu tun, mit ihrem Instagramkanal, Millys life in Pink und ihrem Balletttraining.
Doch irgendjemand muss sich ja um das ehemalige Polizeipferd kümmern. Dummerweise ist es nur so, dass jedes Mal, wenn man Jupiter in der Garage, seinem improvisiertem Stall, allein lässt, er total durchdreht und ununterbrochen wiehert. Also baut sich Milly kurzerhand ein Lager in der Garage und schläft jede Nacht bei ihm.
Doch schon kommt das nächste Problem: In der Garage wurde eingebrochen und Jupiters Sachen wurden durchwühlt. Milly vermutet, dass dies ein ehemaliger Juwelendieb ist, den Jupiter ins Gefängnis gebracht hat, und dass dieser sich nun an dem Polizeipferd rächen will.
Zu allem Überfluss steht jetzt auch noch die Polizei vor der Tür und fordert, dass das Pferd sofort in einen richtigen Stall gebracht wird, doch dafür hat Millys Familie wirklich überhaupt kein Geld. Chaos ist also vorprogrammiert.
Meine Meinung:
Mir hat das Buch sehr gefallen, da es nicht so ein typisches Pferdebuch ist.
Sehr toll ist auch, dass man viel über die Ausbildung und die Arbeit eines Polizeipferdes erfährt und dann auch weiß, was so besonders an diesen Pferden ist.
Schön finde ich auch, dass das Buch an einigen Stellen etwas tiefgründig ist und man über manche Dinge auch noch etwas nachdenken muss.
Mir hat auch die Leichtigkeit des Buches gefallen, also dass man so richtig in die Geschichte eintauchen kann und man sich so fühlt, als wäre man live mit dabei.
